Established in the port of Laayoune - one of the most important fishing ports of Morocco cannery Oceamic II is the logical result of expanding business of Sarma Fish S.A.R.L. The direct proximity to fishing sites ensures the best quality fresh raw material directly from the Atlantic ocean. We mainly use fresh sardine and mackerel caught by the local fisherman. Thanks to new manufacturing units and professional team we have developed plant that can produce up to 160 000 cans a day but the capacities allows twice more than that. The main advantage of Oceamic II is the fresh raw material as well as flexibility to produce any kind of product according to clients wishes.
In order to guarantee the best quality and safety of production our fully equipped laboratory carries out strict quality control that starts with the reception of raw material and continues through the whole production process defrosting if necessary, canning, sterilization, packaging and up to storage and transportation to the client. For instance laboratory analyses that are carried out:
- Histamine control (for raw material and also for finished product),
- Fat (raw material)
- Stability and sterility test (finished product),
- Organoleptic control (also for raw material as well as for finished product), technical controls of steaming
- Acidity and value of peroxide of oil
- Peroxide value of oil
- pH of tomato sauce
- Etc.
